Tactical Quads for emergency operations
During emergency operations, it may be necessary to assign nets based on the area of the county involved in the emergency. Quad nets will use tactical frequencies assigned by the EOC. The county is divided up into 4 sections (quads) based on the structure used by Lake County fire departments. The map below shows the quad structure.
Areas that may cover more than one quad should use the same quad number the local fire department uses.Grayslake use Quad 2, Mundelein use Quad 4, and Buffalo Grove use Quad 4 If you are outside of Lake County, respond to Quad 5 requests on frequency you are monitoring.
